Purpose is rarely found by accident. It is discovered in a collision: a moment, a conversation, or a question that will not let you stay the same.
A Collision With Purpose is a global movement that turns powerful conversations into commitment, and commitment into purposeful action. We exist to help every person discover why they are here, and then live it out loud in their families, workplaces, schools, and communities.
How it began
One question. One walk in the park. One video.
In 2022, Dr. Laxley W. Stephenson appeared as a guest on the podcast Leafless But Not Lifeless and left with a question he could not shake: why was he on that platform? The next morning, he told his daughter Kiana, “I want to do something regarding purpose.”
Kiana gave the idea its name, A Collision With Purpose, and gave her father a simple instruction: walk in the park, make a video, and share it everywhere. He did. Within the first month, more than 30 one minute videos followed. Those short videos became hour long conversations, and those conversations became a movement.
From conversation to commitment
Stories that changed lives
In its first year, the movement recorded more than 70 interviews with people across the globe, each one exploring how a person discovered their purpose. Twenty of those stories became the book A Collision With Purpose: In Pursuit of Purpose.
Then came the moment that changed everything. On a trip to Kenya, Dr. Stephenson asked a simple question: “What is next?” The answer was a commitment to fund scholarships for students. What began as support for two students grew to five with the help of family and friends. In that moment, the work was no longer a project. It was a movement.

The movement today
In Kenya, the movement completed its first official social outreach, a mission of 14 days hosted by Hon. Leonard Soita Kasaya, and formed A Collision With Purpose Africa under his leadership. In Jamaica, the Growth Mindset Blueprint Masterclass has trained teachers, principals, nonprofit leaders, church organizations, and National Education Trust managers, and A Collision With Purpose LLC has awarded scholarships to students.
Along the way, A Collision With Purpose LLC has published multiple books, and the movement has recognized many people for their purposeful work. Every story, every scholarship, and every outreach began with the same thing: someone willing to answer the call.
